Lithuania vs Romania
UEFA Nations League

Kick-off at 19:45 UK/ 20:45 CET
Venue: LFF stadionas (Vilnius).
Lithuania is a team just to fill the places in the UEFA Nations League and their performances are sufficient testament for that. But the Nations League, recently conceived by UEFA, has provided opportunities for teams like Lithuania to compete with world-class teams and to gain experience.
They might not be contenders right now. They might not even be a team to be wary of. But some years down the lane, thanks to matches like this, these teams will be causing sleepless nights and upsets to the opponents.
The visiting team, Romania has an opportunity to increase their goal difference, and they will be grabbing on to every chance they get. Ernestas Setkus, the Lithuanian goalkeeper will be having a busy time dealing with George Tucudean and Nicolae Stanciu, the Romanian forwards.
Lithuania, in their last 17 matches, has just two wins and two draws. The remaining 13 matches have been losses, with an alarming number of goals conceded each match. This match doesn’t seem to be heading towards another result either.
Lithuania has not been able to provide quality matches against any opposition so far. Especially in the Nations League, Lithuania has been holding a place, just by virtue of their presence in the UEFA organization and nothing else.
It will take some time before Lithuania becomes proper contenders. As of now, they stand no chance, especially with their recent record, 13 losses in last 17 matches.
Romania with their six-match unbeaten streak and just one loss in last ten matches will be dominating the hosts from the start itself.
