Levante celebrated a huge 1-4 victory over Granada on Sunday afternoon to make a significant step towards avoiding relegation to Segunda Division football next season.

The team led by Italian manager Alessio Lisci controlled the game from the start to the end to pick up a precious three-pointer at Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes.

Both Lisci’s strikers were on target as Jose Luis Morales stole the show with a goal and two assists on the occasion.

Levante are still second from bottom in La Liga table but now only four points below the likes of Granada and Mallorca in the safe zone.

Lisci’s troops have now won two of the last three league outings. They have been decent at home of late, winning two, drawing one, and losing one (2-3 to in-form Barcelona) of the previous four matches.

Levante will be hoping to back up this great win on Thursday evening when they play host to third-placed Sevilla in one of the most exciting games of Matchday 33 in La Liga.

Sevilla will enter the tie in a completely opposite mood, following a 2-3 loss in a five-goal thriller against leaders Real Madrid on Sunday night.

Los Rojiblancos had the 2-0 lead by the 25th minute of the clash at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, but they allowed Real Madrid three second-half goals, including the stoppage-time winner form Karim Benzema.
