Leeds United will chase their maiden win of the season on Friday evening when they host West Bromwich Albion in the third round of the Championship.

The Peacocks got off to a disappointing start to their life in lower division football, taking just one point from the inaugural two affairs against the likes of Cardiff City and Birmingham City,.

After a 2-2 stalemate against the Welsh outfit on the opening day, the Peacocks did nothing to threaten Birmingham’s goal last weekend.

Daniel Farke has made five changes in his starting XI at St. Andrew’s but it made zero effect as the team lacked creativity throughout the whole course of the game.

Leeds were eventually punished with a stoppage-time penalty-kick and they have already found themselves in a difficult situation in the early stages of the season.

The story is opposite with West Brom who should come into this in higher spirits after managing their inaugural win of the season six days ago.

The Baggies had a three-goal advantage after Jon Swift’s second-half penalty but they still had to hold off a late fightback from the Swans who found two goals in quick succession to set up the tense ten final minutes of the affair at The Hawthorns.

Nevertheless, Carlos Corberan’s men found a way to hold on their lead as they snapped an unpleasant run of four consecutive defeats this summer.
