Lazio host Lecce in the first game of Matchday No 35 on Friday evening at Stadio Olimpico.

The hosts will be looking to bounce back from the 2-0 defeat at the hands of direct top-four rivals AC Milan last weekend.

It was the third loss in the last four league affairs for I Biancocelesti who have dropped to third place in the Serie A table as a consequence.

Maurizio Sarri’s men are now only three points above AC Milan in fifth place and they can ill afford a slip-up at home against the out-of-form relegation strugglers here.

Lecce have also complicated things in their own battle last weekend, falling 0-1 at home to direct relegation rivals Verona.

Marco Baroni’s troops are still four points above the red zone thanks to Spezia’s defeat to Cremonese last time out.

Lecce are about to host Spezia next Sunday in Gameweek No 36 which will likely be the crucial game of the season for the team.

It is obviously hard to expect the visitors to do much in the capital, especially after the defeat to the likes of Hellas Verona.
