Jong FC Utrecht vs Roda
Dutch Eerste Divisie
Date: 6 March 2023, Monday
Kick-off at 19:00 UK / 20:00 CET
Venue: Sportcomplex Zoudenbalch (Utrecht).
Fellow bottom half strugglers will lock horns on Monday evening as Jong FC Utrecht host Roda JC in the 27th round of Eerste Divisie at Sportcomplex Zoudenbalch.
The hosts enter the tie off the back of three losses in the last four league affairs. They sit firmly at the bottom of the league table with just 20 points from 26 outings.
However, it is worth noting that the team led by Bosnian manager Darije Kalezic managed to back four goals past NAC Breda in an impressive win in their previous home match on February 20th.
Roda, on the other side, lost four of the last five league games without scoring a single goal in the last three matches along the way.
They have failed to register more than two attempts on target in a 0-2 home defeat at the hands of promotional hopefuls Almere City last Friday.
Knowing that Jong FC Utrecht have also done nothing to threaten bottom-half rivals Helmond Sport in the final third last Friday, we have reasons to expect a low-scoring scenario on Monday night in Utrecht.
Also, four of the last five games Jong Utrecht played on the home patch finished with fewer than three goals scored.
We have witnessed some goal fests in the history of this matchup but the teams’ current form points towards a different scenario this time around.
Both Jong Utrecht and Roda have been struggling for goals lately and we see the Under 2.5 goals FT pick as a more than viable option at the 2.25 odds. Alternatively, you can shoot for the 1-1 stalemate at the 7.50 odds.
