Inter Milan will be looking to maintain their perfect record at the start of the 2023/24 Serie A campaign on Sunday afternoon when Fiorentina come to visit Stadio Giuseppe Meazza for the Matchday No 3 fixture.

I Nerazzurri did not have any problems in the games against Monza and Cagliari in the opening two rounds, picking up two separate 2-0 wins along the way.

I Viola’s players lost rhythm and physical strength in the second half of the game. This might have come as a consequence of a tough game against Rapid Vienna in the first leg of the UEFA Conference League playoff round on Austrian soil (a 1-0 defeat).

Fiorentina have also faced the Austrians in the reverse tie on Thursday evening and this match comes less than 72 hours after that one. Could we again see Vincenzo Italiano’s troops losing pace in the second half?
