Gujarat Titans were expected to secure a win in their most recent IPL match against Lucknow Super Giants. A victory would have boosted their chances of finishing at the top of the standings. However, LSG had other plans. The defeat ended GT’s impressive three-match winning streak, and they will now aim to bounce back in their final league game to retain a top-two finish.
They will face a struggling Chennai Super Kings team that has lost five of their last six IPL games. CSK is already eliminated from the playoff race and currently sits at the bottom of the table, a spot they are likely to retain.
Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings have clashed seven times in the Indian Premier League since GT joined in 2022. GT leads the head-to-head with four wins, while CSK has won three, including a victory in the IPL 2023 Final.
At the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, they have met twice. GT won the first encounter in 2022, while CSK won the IPL 2023 Qualifier 1 at the same venue.

Noor Ahmad (CSK): Noor Ahmad, the current Purple Cap holder, has taken 21 wickets this season. He is on a five-match streak of picking at least one wicket per game.
GT faces a must-win match at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday. They aim to beat CSK convincingly to lock in a top-two finish. However, CSK could still pose a challenge in their final game of the season.
Sudharsan has been GT’s most reliable batter this season. His scores have consistently stayed above 20, making him one of the most dependable players in IPL history.
Despite their recent struggles, CSK have scored over 84.5 runs in the first 10 overs in each of their last four matches, including three games crossing the 90-run mark.
GT’s openers have been in great touch. In their last match, the opening stand put up 46 before losing Sudharsan. Against a struggling CSK, they are likely to post the highest score before the first wicket.
