Peter Green - October 16, 2019
Granada vs Osasuna
Spain – LaLiga
Date: Friday, 18 October 2019
Kick-off at 20:00 UK/ 21:00 CET
Venue: Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes (Granada).
In a battle between two newly-promoted teams, home advantage could really play a big role in determining the outcome. Granada has been enjoying life in the upper division, and if not for their recent loss against the mighty Los Blancos, they would have been on an unbeaten run in the competition. This streak should help them overcome the Osasuna challenge.
The new teams to the league have quickly adapted to the trials and tribulations associated with promotion. In fact, both these two, who had finished in the top two spots of the Segunda last season, have combined together for just three losses between their sixteen games in total.
And do note that, two of those losses had come against Real Madrid, and one against Sevilla. Such has been the level of competitiveness provided by the sides from the lower division.
As of now, the Nasrids hold a spot in the top-four zone and will be keen to keep a hold of that. They have been performing admirably, and surely the home advantage will be an added bonus.
So will be their confidence in having finished eight points above this opponent in the league during the last campaign.
At present, Diego Martinez’s men stand unbeaten in 20 of their former 22 overall fixtures, and in 16 of their last 17 in front of the home crowd. Moreover, they had won nine of the prior ten home ties as well.
On the other hand, Arrasate’s men were winless in seven of their past nine games, and are so in their prior three road trips.
As such, count on the hosts to come out on top this Friday.
However, the visitors of the day have been extraordinarily productive at the back, with the team conceding a total of just seven goals till now – which even the duo of Real Madrid and Barcelona have failed to achieve. Moreover, prior h2h clashes have also returned a minimal number of goals, and consequentially, the Under 2.5 bet holds value as these two take the pitch.
