Golden State Warriors are looking to shift their fortunes around with a statement win over Orlando Magic on Thursday night.
Analysis and Reason for Predictions
Golden State Warriors will be desperate to return to winning ways on Thursday evening when they take on Orlando Magic in one of just two games of the night.
The Warriors suffered their third consecutive defeat on Tuesday evening, falling 116-109 away at Miami Heat.
It was another surprisingly lethargic offensive showing from Steve Kerr’s troops, despite the fact Klay Thompson returned to the squad after sitting out the previous game.
Steph Curry had a fantastic triple double with 23 points, 13 boards, and 13 assists, and he was 7-for-14 from the field, but it all counted for little as he did not have much help from the teammates on the occasion.
Orlando Magic were also in action on Tuesday when they suffered another defeat, this time to Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Magic are now at the very foot of the Eastern Conference standings with a 1-7 recoord after the opening eight games.
They have one of the weakest offensive ratings in the league, averaging just over 106 points per match this season.
The Magic were around their average offensive display two nights ago against Oklahoma City Thunder, falling 116-108 on the road despite the best performance of the season from Wendell Carter.
Carter bagged 30 points and added 12 rebounds on a fabulous hooting night (10-for-15) but the rest of the pack did not follow as Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero (in particular) were pretty quiet on the evening.
This is an ideal chance for the reigning champions to shift their fortunes around knowing they are up against a team that lost seven of the inaugural eight outings of the season. We expect a statement victory for the visitors who are -110 to win by at least eight points difference on Thursday. We will also back Andrew Wiggins Over 16.5 points at the -110 odds following his 21-point performance in the loss to the Heat on Tuesday.
