Getafe vs Levante
Spanish La Liga
Date: 4 February 2022, Friday
Kick-off at 20:00 UK / 21:00 CET
Venue: Coliseum Alfonso Perez (Getafe).
Getafe host Levante in the first game of Matchday No 23 on Friday evening at Coliseum Alfonso Perez.
The match has a massive importance for both teams, especially the visitors who are desperate to snatch a three-pointer and thus earn at least a glimmer of hope in terms of avoiding relegation.
Levante have been by far the worst teams in the division so far in the season. They sit at the very foot of the standings with only 11 points from 22 games.
The team have been particularly poor on travels throughout the season, clinching no more than two points from ten away outings in this term of La Liga.
Alessio Lisci’s men managed to record a super-important home win over Mallorca (2-0) on January 8th, but they quickly returned to the old habits, falling 0-2 to Cadiz in the previous round.
Levante have thus lost five of the last six fixtures in all competitions. They have allowed three or more goals in four of these five defeats along the way.
Getafe will enter the match in much higher spirits. They seem to have caught the right rhythm of late, despite a very tough schedule and the fixtures against the likes of Real Madrid, Sevilla, and Real Sociedad in three of the last four rounds.
The team led by Quique Sanchez Flores are especially enjoying a wonderful spell of form at Coliseum Alfonso Perez where they won five and drew one of the last six La Liga outings.
Getafe kept four clean sheets in the last five home outings in the league. They have won five games since the beginning of the season and all these wins came in front of the home crowd.
Knowing that Levante claimed only two points in ten league fixtures on the road this term, the home win has to be the way to go at the 2.05 odds.
