The second Grand Slam event of the year got underway on Sunday, delivering us the conclusion to the enthralling clay court season.

The next two weeks will bring us amazing tennis action in French capital. The first week is particularly exciting from the betting perspective with plethora of matches and bountiful betting opportunities.

Flavio Cobolli enters the tournament in the highest spirits possible, having claimed the Hamburg title with an impressive 6-4 6-2 showing in the final against Andrey Rublev.

Marin Cilic only got in as a lucky loser after dropping the ball on the final step in the qualifying campaign, falling in three sets to South American veteran Lloyd Harris.

The Croat has been struggling to find his ground for quite some time and we see Cobolli as a heavy favourite to advance to the second round of Roland Garros.

Adam Walton has only played two matches on clay this year, winning and losing one apiece in Houston almost two months ago.

He has recently only played challengers on hard courts in Asia without much success.

Marterer has managed to collect three consecutive wins in the Roland Garros qualifications without dropping a set along the way. He should not have too many problems getting past such an opponent in the first round of the main draw.

Best Bet of the Day @ 2.15 Odds

Joao Fonseca is widely considered as the next big thing in men’s tennis as the 18-year-old Brazilian has showcased extraordinary talent during his short spell on the tour.

Nevertheless, the teenager has been anything but impressive on clay courts this year, managing to grab just a single win in four matches within the last month.

Fonseca has failed to get a single set in these three defeats, including the most recent loss to Fabian Maroszan in the first round of Rome Masters earlier this month.

On the other side we have a ten-year-older Pole Hubert Hurkacz, a former world No 6. Hubert reached the final of the ATP 250 event in Geneva last week, coming just short to beating the like of Novak Djokovic in three tight sets.

Hurkacz also made it to the quarter-final in Rome and his form has generally been on the rise in recent weeks. We have to see huge value in backing the out-of-form Brazilian youngster at the 2.15 odds.
