Group F is probably one of the most one-sided groups in the entire tournament as two title contenders take on two CONCACAF nations in the battle for the knockout phase.
France, who have made it to the quarterfinal in each of the last three World Cup editions, should thus have no problems whatsoever in their opener on Sunday against Jamaica at the Sydney Football Stadium.
Les Bleus have arrived to Australia as one of the main candidates to go all the way with a very strong squad and new manager Herve Renard who has become the first man to lead two nations at two World Cups within seven months.
As you know, Renard led Saudi Arabia to a massive upset against latter champions Argentina at the beginning of the 2022 Men’s World Cup in Qatar.
Jamaica, on the other side, will search for their maiden point at the biggest competition having lost all three group stage games four years ago in France.
Reggae Girlz have lost all three World Cup outings by at least three goals difference and they enter this tournament as big underdogs in Group F.
Nevertheless, we have to say that the Caribbean nation made a huge success by coming third in the recent CONCACAF Championship, leaving the likes of Haiti, Mexico, and Costa Rica behind along the way.
Jamaica suffered tough defeats at the CAC Women’s Games this summer, though, falling 2-5 to El Salvador and 3-7 to Mexico in the process.
The only legitimate question ahead of this tie is how many goals will end up in Jamaica’s net. The gulf in quality between the two teams is massive and we expect France to dominate the pitch from the first to the last minute.
From the betting perspective, we are especially interested in backing Les Bleus to win the first half in -1.5 Asian Handicap at the 1.85 odds, expecting them to remove all doubts about the winner of the game before the half-time break.
