Fiorentina will be looking to prolong their extraordinary spell of form on Thursday evening when they host Turkish Super Lig side Sivasspor in the last 16 round of the UEFA Europa Conference League.
I Viola enter the tie on the back of four wins and a draw in the previous five games in all competitions.
The run includes back-to-back staggering performances against Sporting Braga as I Viola advanced from the Conference League playoffs tie 7-2 on aggregate against the Portuguese opposition.
The team led by Vincenzo Italiano translated the tremendous Conference League displays to the domestic league where they bagged five goals in the last two victories over Verona and AC Milan.
Italiano can be especially pleased by the performance his men have put up on Saturday evening against the reigning Serie A champions at Stadio Artemio Franchi.
Fiorentina’s in-form attacking line should have plenty of space to deliver on Thursday past the leaky defense of Sivasspor’s.
The visitors will travel to Italy off of a tough 4-3 defeat at the hands of Fatih Karagumruk at the weekend. The loss could have been more painful but Sivasspor managed to find two late goals in the stoppage time through Leke James to make it more bearable.
Riza Calimbay’s troops are just two points above the red zone in the Super Lig standings. They did stun Slavia Prague and CFR Cluj in the group stage of the competition but we can hardly see them doing much here against Fiorentina.
Sivasspor have just allowed four goals in the road loss at Fatih Karagumruk and they are only two points above the relegation zone in the domestic league. Fiorentina, on the other side, head into this on the back of four victories and a draw in the previous five outings across competitions.
We expect an easy hob for the hosts here and we will back them to have the lead at the half time and win the match at the end at the 2.00 odds. We are also very much interested in backing Conference League’s top scorer Luka Jovic to find the back of the net here at the 2.20 odds.
