Midtjylland somehow survived a tough trip to Estadio Jose Alvalade, leaving Portuguese capital unbeaten in a 1-1 draw seven days ago.

The Danish outfit even had the lead all up until the 90th minute of the last week’s first leg in Lisbon, but eventually conceded a late Sebastian Coates equalizer.

This leaves the tie wide open ahead of the rematch on Danish soil this Thursday at MCH Arena in Herning.

Both teams were in action just three days ago, playing their respective domestic league games on Monday evening each.

It was the first Danish Superligaen affair for FC Midtjylland after the winter break. Albert Capellas’ troops have generally been struggling to perform in their domestic league since the beginning of the season.
