Everton host Wolves in a very important game that could have serious implications on the relegation battle despite the fact we are only in Matchday No 3 at the moment.
Both teams got off to slow starts to the new season and both were on the wrong end of a thumping last weekend.
Wolves did leave somewhat better impression on the pitch in both games. The efficiency in the final third is clearly the main issue for both these sides.
Everton have failed to find the back of the net in the losses to Fulham and Aston Villa, conceding as many as five goals in the process.
Wolves have managed to find one goal last time out in a 1-4 home loss to Brighton in another match in which they missed numerous chances in front of the rivaling goal.
We have plenty of reasons to back the low-scoring contest here. If we count the preseason friendlies, five of the last six outings Everton played ended with fewer than two goals scored.
Wolves have shown a better attacking rhythm by registering 16 shots against Brighton seven days ago. They have also put three goals past French Ligue 1 side Rennes in the last preseason test more than 20 days ago.
This is a very tough game to call from the perspective of outcome. Everton do have the home court advantage but Wolves left a better impression in both outings so far in the season.
Either way, the Under 2.5 goals FT pick has to be the way to go at the odds of 1.72. We will also take Wolves to win or draw double chance because of the value at the 1.61 odds.
