Erzurumspor vs Ankaragucu

Erzurum will be hoping to snatch their maiden victory in the top flight of the Turkish football on Friday evening when they host fellow 1. Lig rivals Ankaragucu at Kazim Karabekir Stadyumu. The visitors come into the game in higher spirits and in better form following their 1-0 victory over the last term cup winners Akhisar.
Mostafa El Kabir made the difference for the side led by Ismail Kartal last weekend. His second goal of the season helped the team move into the top half of the standings with seven points from five matches so far.
Kartal thus has reasons to be thrilled by the kick off to the new season as his men do not look to be intimidated by the elite tier football.
This will be the fourth head to head encounter between the two sides.
None of past three offered a winner.
Two were official, played in the regular season of the Turkish second tier last term (both ended in goalless draws).
The last one was a pre-season friendly played this July and it saw a 2-2 draw.
This will be the first winnable home match of the campaign for Erzurum. They’ve played the likes of Besiktas and Istanbul Basaksehir on the home patch so far and there are no doubts the local fans will create an electrifying atmosphere to try and help their side see off Ankaragucu on Friday.
Both teams are pretty easy to break down. The hosts boast the second weakest defensive record in the league with nine goals conceded so far, while Ankaragucu allowed seven in five games. The BTTS option is paid at the 1.61 odds.
