England is ranked at fourth in the FIFA rankings and that is no amusement considering their current squad strength and Premier League standards. The Three Lions will host Romania at Riverside Stadium on Saturday for a friendly before heading into Euro 2021.
Gareth Southgate and his men will come into the game hot with five consecutive wins in international fixtures in their schedule. Their previous encounter was at home and they defeated Austria with a 1-0 scoreline in a friendly.
Ranked at the 43rd spot in FIFA, Romania will not pose a huge threat to the host. The Tricolors have lost their last three matches and have only three wins in their last ten fixtures. They will visit on the back of a 1-2 loss at home against Georgia in the last friendly game.
There is no doubt that the match is sizing to be a home win in full-time along with the probability of a high-scoring affair in ninety minutes. The reason to back the host is their ground advantage in the middle and their current squad strength.
Since an English club has lifted the Champions League this season, there is a good morale boost for the Premier League and its players. Thus, we can expect the host to come in with all guns blazing to prepare for Euro 2020. Thus, the tip for over 2.5 goals will probably come in handy to yield decent returns in the clash.
