Peter Green - February 4, 2019
Dundee FC vs Kilmarnock
Scotland – Premiership
Date: Wednesday, 6th February 2019
Kick-off at 19.45 UK/ 20.45 CET
Venue: Dens Park (Dundee).
The Dee looks set for relegation, and even if they are awarded points for showing up, it might be in vain at this stage. They have managed just 14 points so far from their 24 games and is away from safety by almost double of that. Along with Hamilton and St. Mirren, the team holds the distinction of being the weakest teams in the competition.
Celtic might have run away with the title, but the spot of the runner up is still up for grabs and Killie has set their sights on it. A game against Jim McIntyre’s men is actually something of a blessing for them, and despite being on the road, a total and complete win would be the only target for the visitors.
Steve Clarke’s men have recorded wins in each of the last three h2h ties and registered five of the last six victories. Also, they have not lost a single h2h tie at the Dens Park for the last four years. The team is in contention for a podium spot, and an easier fixture like this will not be taken lightly at all by the players.
Expect them to show up with intent, and try to dominate the game from the get-go. They have also scored in ten of their last eleven overall games, and nine of last eleven home-ties. Also, against a team like the Dee, that was winless in 24 of their last 27 match-ups, the visitors are expected to open their account in the first half itself.
