Harry Kane inspired a comfortable 2-0 victory for Spurs in the first leg of their last 16 round tie against Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb last week. The English talisman is expected to lead the line in the reverse fixture as well, despite a knock he received slightly before the end of the first leg in London.
Kane featured the weekend’s North London derby against Arsenal but was unlucky to hit the post from a free-kick. He ended the derby without a goal or an assist as Jose Mourinho’s men fell 2-1 to bitter rivals.
The loss to the Gunners also saw Son Heung-Min suffering a hamstring injury early on. The Korean forward will definitely skip the return game in Zagreb, leaving the option for Gareth Bale to make the starting line-up. Either way, we do expect a very strong Tottenham Hotspur squad here.
The hosts are in a very tough situation ahead of the rematch at Stadion Maksimir. They have lost the head coach Zoran Mamic on Monday evening as he was found guilty by the country’s court and will have to serve a sentence of at least four years in prison.
