Dinamo Zagreb breezed past their opponents Saburtalo Tbilisi in the previous round with a resounding 5-0 aggregate scoreline. Prior to their clash, the squad pulled off a 1-0 win against Rijeka in the finals of the Croatian Super Cup and have also got off to a winning start in their domestic campaign.
Ferencvaros, on the other hand, were held to a 1-1 draw in their previous trip on the road, and have made it through to the next stage, thanks to the 3-1 win that they had secured in the first leg of their tie.
Both the sides are currently on winning streaks of their own, so expect nothing short of an exciting ninety minutes when they lock horns with each other this week.
The hosts are unbeaten in their last four clashes at this venue and have tasted defeat just once since the start of this year.
The home team have also shone on both fronts, and have scored twelve goals in their previous five games while conceding none.
Although Ferencvaros are a tough side to take down, that has not been the case in their recent trips on the road. The away team have just one win to boast of in their last four outings, and just three in their previous seven.
Taking Dinamo Zagreb’s impressive run of form at home and the aforementioned into consideration, then a win for the Hungarian outfit seems very unlikely.
However, the away side have been consistent in finding the back of the net in their last ten clashes, irrespective of whether they came out on top at the end of the ninety minutes.
So, there is certainly reason to believe that both sides will have to make do without a clean sheet in their maiden clash this week.
