Steffen Schmidt - January 28, 2023
Derby vs West Ham
English FA Cup
Date: 30 January 2023, Monday
Kick-off at 19:45 UK / 20:45 CET
Venue: Pride Park Stadium (Derby).
Derby County host West Ham United in the last game of the FA Cup 4th round (at least when it comes to the first legs) on Monday evening at Pride Park Stadium.
The Rams have been on an excellent run of form lately and it will be very interesting to see whether they will be able to offer a strong resistance against the top-flight opposition here.
Derby are on a streak of six consecutive wins in all competitions. They have climbed to the fourth position in the League One table as a consequence.
Paul Warne’s men are now only eight points behind second-placed Sheffield Wednesday (who have also had an amazing campaign in this term of the League One, just like leaders Barnsley).
We would not be surprised to see them in contention for the automatic promotion to Championship if they maintain this level of football.
The story is completely opposite with West Ham who are going through rough times in this term of Premier League.
The Hammers only escaped the relegation zone thanks to a 2-0 victory in the direct clash against Everton last Saturday.
Jarrod Bowen, who has been surprisingly quiet all season long, stepped up when David Moyes and his troops needed him most, completing a brace in a super-important 2-0 victory over the Toffees.
Derby have bagged two or more goals in each of the previous five games in all competitions. They have been on an excellent run of form lately and we would not be surprised to see them taking advantage of the momentum and getting something out of this tie against the Hammers.
You can get the sky-high 7.50 odds for Derby to win & Over 2.5 goals FT bet, while we also fancy the experienced forward David McGoldrick to score anytime for the hosts at the 4.33 odds.
