Derby County vs Norwich City
England – Championship
Date: Wednesday, 3 October 2018
Kick-Off at 19:45 UK
Venue: Pride Park Stadium (Derby).
Derby County failed to build on their great upset at Manchester United in League Cup and saw a disappointing 1-0 loss at Bolton Wanderers on Saturday, now headed for another tough challenge as they host Norwich for their Matchday 11 clash looking to bounce back to the winning ways once again.
The Rams have been a very tough side at this ground and we’ve seen them earn three wins and a draw in their last four outings at Pride Park Stadium, so we don’t feel they’ll be distraught. They’ve beaten Ipswich, Preston North End, and Brentford since late August, only holding Blackburn to a goalless draw along the way.
Norwich take that top 6 spot they’re aiming for and sit just a point clear at this point, but the Canaries have been in great shape recently and come into the match on the back of a five-game winning streak. They’ve narrowly beaten Middlesbrough, Reading, Queens Park Rangers, and Wigan Athletic in Championship as well as Wycombe in League Cup, turning all of the games their way by a slim margin.
We do believe Norwich are in a better shape at this point and we’ll now back them to snatch a point at Pride Park Stadium once again, going for a Draw at 3.40 – which does seem a solid approach with both sides very motivated for the points and boasting solid results of recent.
Both have been scoring and conceding goals on the regular too and we feel that a YES on Both teams to score can be rated generous at 1.80 here. Rams have been tougher defensively at this ground but shutting down in-form Norwich will be no easy task, which does seem like further evidence for such an opinion.
