Crystal Palace vs Wolves
English Premier League
Date: 3 September 2023, Sunday
Kick-off at 14:00 UK / 15:00 CET
Venue: Selhurst Park (London).
Crystal Palace host Wolves in the fourth round of the 2023/24 Premier League season on Sunday afternoon at Selhurst Park.
The Glaziers have a win, a draw, and a loss in three opening matches. They have shown decent defensive displays in each of three outings, allowing just two goals in total despite facing the likes of Arsenal and Brentford along the way.
Roy Hodgson’s troops found a way to get a late equalizer eight days ago at Brentford in a match in which they certainly deserved at least a point, limiting the counterparts to just a single shot on target in the 90 minutes of play.
Palace have created a lot in the final third last Saturday at Gtech Community Stadium and they should have a lot of room to deliver the goods up front in the home fixture against Wolves.
The visitors, on the other side, managed their maiden win of the season last weekend, beating Fulham 0-1 at Goodison thanks to a late winner from substitute Sasha Kalajdzic.
Nevertheless, head coach Gary O’Neil can’t quite be thrilled with the display his men produced in Liverpool, allowing Everton as many as seven attempts on target on the occasion.
Wolves did not leave a great impression in either of the previous two league games. Knowing they’ve also lost four of the last five matches against the Eagles, we fancy the 1.85 odds offered for Crystal Palace to claim the spoils on Sunday.
We will alternatively take the Under 2.5 goals FT bet at the 1.66 odds since all but one of the last eleven H2H outings between these counterparts ended with fewer than three goals scored.
