Crusaders vs Wolves Predictions & Match Preview

Peter Green - July 30, 2019

Crusaders vs Wolves
Europa League Qualification
Date: Thursday, 1 August 2019
Kick-off at 20:00 UK / 21:00 CET
Venue:  Seaview (Belfast).

Crusaders were dismal in their previous clash with Wolves, which saw them succumb to a 2-0 scoreline at the end of the ninety minutes.

The clash was certainly lopsided, no matter which angle you look at it. The hosts were nowhere near being a threat to the Premier League side and managed just one shot at goal, which was not even on target, throughout the game.

In stark contrast, Wolves were an attacking presence in the final third and finished the game with twenty-nine attempts at goal, ten of which made the goalkeeper work.

Although two goals are not exactly a colossal deficit, it has to be noted that they are up against a very experienced and competitive Wolverhampton side.

The return clash is unlikely to be any different from the first leg, with the Crusaders far from convincing to come out on top.

Crusaders vs Wolves Head to head (h2h)

  • The only previous meeting between the two teams was their first-leg clash, which finished 2-0 in favor of Wolves.

Crusaders vs Wolves Prediction

Wolves made light work of their opponents last week, and thoroughly deserved the win and the two goals that they secured in the process.

The squad also put on an impressive performance in the Asia Trophy earlier this month and came out on top beating the reigning league champions Manchester City in the finals.

The English outfit will be coming in hot with a three-match unbeaten streak under their belt on Thursday, so back them to pull off a comfortable win at the end of the final whistle.

Considering that Crusaders failed to find a single shot on target against this opponent last time out, we can rule of their chances of finding the back of the net this week.

Expect nothing short of a high scoring clash, with Wolves likely to be the only side to get their names on the scoresheet.
