Crotone were relegated a few weeks ago but it is still possible for the club to at least not finish bottom of the league and this will be their motivation coming into this match.
However winning games for Crotone is easier said than done and they have lost 27 times this season. This includes losing 4 of their last five games and last weekend they were thumped 5-0 by Roma.
It is fair to say that Crotone will just want the season to end but they have a chance to finish in 19th place and take the position of Parma with victory here.
At home Croton have been defeated 12 times and won just four games. Recent home form is poor with 4 defeats in a row and their last game at home finished in a 2-0 defeat to the new champions Inter Milan.
Hellas Verona come into this game in 10th place with 43 points. They are very safe and are 12 points from the bottom three, that is the good news but the bad news is that the club can’t qualify for Europe so this is a game that means little to them. Still they will not want to lose.
Form for Verona is not good with just 2 points earned from their last 15 however they have drawn their last two games in a row against Torino and Spezia respectively.
Hellas Verona have really ruled the results against Crotone recently and have the better squad so it is no surprise that they are the favourites to win this match.
There doesn’t seem much hope for Crotone but they are at home and will be expected to give a decent showing even if there is very little to play for.
This is a match that is quite risky but the home side are a great price to win the game. They come with much inconsistency but we will back them to get the win simply because they have showed some good play in their last match at home against Inter Milan and Verona are not in good form anyway. But we expect this to be a close game so this choice to back the home side should be for minimum stakes only.
