Frank Lampard’s men had a nightmare of an outing against the Blades the last match-day, and it had kind of hurt their chances to finish in the podium. Manchester United, who have been giving them a chase for some time now, are on line to overtake them, should they win against the Saints.

However, one positive for the Blues would be the fact that Leicester bottled it against one of the worst teams in the competition, and are still lagging one point behind them. Lampard’s men should make the most of this unexpected blessing.

They are pitted against the absolute worst team in the league this Tuesday – the Canaries. Not only are they placed dead last as of now, but they have already mathematically ensured their relegation. With no motivation left to play for, Daniel Farke’s men should find it hard to go through the rest of the schedule.

Considering the difference in stature, experience, talent on roster, and previous h2h results, along with Chelsea’s desperation for points, expect a convincing win for them.

Lampard’s men lost 3-0 on the road the last match-day, against Sheffield United. It was an unexpected defeat, and the team will be raring to make amends for it this time around. Meanwhile, the Canaries lost 0-4 at home the past game week, against West Ham – which effectively confirmed their relegation.

As things stand, the Blues are overwhelming favorites. They have been one of the best teams in the league this season, as well as over the years. They are desperately going after a top-four finish, and are taking on the worst team in the competition this Tuesday.

Not only are Farke’s men the worst of the lot. They have already been relegated, and will have no will left to fight. They also lack in experience, as they were promoted just this last summer. On top of that, they have always suffered in h2h clashes against this opponent.

In fact, their last h2h win had come back in 1994. Taking into account these observations, expect a huge Chelsea victory at the Stamford Bridge.
