Chateauroux are in 17th place but got a very decent 0-0 draw away to Paris FC who have been solid so far this season. The draw ended back to back losses and the point was important for the club who still remain just one point from the bottom three.
Results at home have been mixed and their last match here was a 3-0 defeat to Troyes and that game ended a 3 game unbeaten streak for the club in front of their home fans.
Chateauroux will face a side in decent form in Ajaccio who come into this game just a point ahead of their hosts but are in good form with just 1 loss in their past five outings. Ajaccio beat Le Havre 3-2 last weekend and have gained 8 points from their last possible 15. Away from home tells a different story where from five matches they have just 1 win but what is more telling is that they haven’t won a game away from home for the last 4 matches.
We are not expecting fireworks in this game and the form of both of these two is something to take into account. Ajaccio are the better form team but they have been very poor on the road and it is unclear if Chateauroux can really raise their game right now. They are simply not a very adventurous side, so our main bet is to see the match at all square at the half way stage. We will also back under 3 goals and go with history.
