Cerezo Osaka and Avispa Fukuoka will raise the curtain on Matchday No 19 in the 2023 J1 League season on Friday with their clash at Yodoko Sakura Stadium.
The hosts are looking to continue their marvelous series of results after winning five of the last six league games.
This extraordinary spell of form has helped them break into the top-four in the J1 League table. Leaders Yokohama F. Marinos are now only seven points away.
The latest of Cerezo’s successes came six days ago in a 1-4 victory at Consadole Sapporo. Head coach Akio Kogiku can be thrilled with his team’s attacking form as Osaka bagged two or more goals in four of the last five league affairs.
The hosts should have plenty of space to deliver up front on Friday as well knowing that Avispa Fukuoka have not been pulling up any trees of late.
The visitors head into this off the back of four consecutive defeats. They have allowed two or more goals in each along the way, including as many as three in the last weekend’s tough home loss to Vissel Kobe.
Everything points towards an easy home win here and we really like the look of the 2.10 odds offered for Cerezo Osaka to prolong their fine run and pick up another victory in front of the home fans.
Looking at the odds, we also like the 2.30 price-tag for the Over 2.5 goals FT bet as Avispa Fukuoka have been dreadful defensively in recent weeks while Cerezo Osaka enter the game on the back of netting four goals past Sapporo last Saturday.
