As the Second Tier matches are on the roll, an interesting game is about to be played at the start of the week at France. Even though with each game, it’s hard to derive equations from their current standings in the table. Currently, Caen is at the twelfth position while the guests reside as the table-toppers.
Caen have been in the backdrop this season with an awful lot of losses in the first division games and starting the second with a draw would have given them a major setback in the tournament stats. The hosts have also problems in finding the back of the net in the last couple of games, magnifying their inadequateness in scoring at the game.
The visitors are in a much better position to sweep away the win as they had minor losses in the first division clashes and was able to start the second tier with a large margin win of 3-0 against Paris FC. Lorient have been keeping some clean sheets also in the process on the road and would be confident enough to outsmart the home team.
The hosts have fared well against their trivial foes in the last season, but they have had a hard time in building up the team this season even in the preseason games.
Caen squad have been varying their tactics to find an appropriate way to win in a consistent manner, as their midfield is hardly delivering the ball to the final strikers run. Guests will be overlooking to attack mostly and deliver a win at the end.
We can expect the visitors to beat the home-side and post another three points to their table, or there will be a slight chance as to the Caen players to settle for a draw at the end. As both teams would be playing defensive in style, there would be fewer goals to cheer and celebrate.
