Bursaspor vs Kayserispor
Turkey – Super Lig
Date: Saturday, 18 August 2018
Kick-Off at 17:15 UK / 18:15 CET
Venue: Bursa Buyuksehir Belediye Stadyumu, Bursa.
Bursaspor produced a strong resistance to Fenerbahce on the opening day of the new Super Lig campaign last weekend.
William Troost-Ekong pushed the Green Crocodiles ahead away at Sukru Saracoglu, but the league heavyweights managed to turn things around in a matter of minutes and eventually pick up a 2-1 victory through goals from Guiliano and Souza.
Nevertheless, the head coach Samet Aybaba has reasons to be satisfied with his side’s overall display against such an opposition.
Bursa now have a winnable affair against Kayserispora head of them in the second round of the competition.
The visitors head into this higher on confidence, though, after beating Antalyaspor 2-0 in front of the home fans.
Kayseri signed a great prospect midfielder in the like of Tjaronn Chery this summer.
The Dutchman, who arrived this summer from Chinese Guizhou Zhicheng, proved out to be a terrific addition to the squad as he was the one responsible for the ball distribution at the center of the park.
The former QPR player broke the deadlock against Antalyaspor before striker Umut Bulut doubled Kayseri’s lead and set the final score.
It was the third clean sheet win on the bounce for the Anatolian Eagle if we count pre-season friendlies and outings against Konyaspor and Genclerbirligi.
Bursa could thus struggle to create chances here knowing they’ll be up against the super stern defensive line of Kayseri’s here.
We’ll shoot for the low-scoring contest and back the Under 2.5 goals FT bet at the odds of 1.70, expecting the visitors to sit carefully at the back and wait for their chances from counter-attacks.
As for the outcome, the draw appears to be the most likable of three and is worth backing at the odds of 3.10.
