Burnley host Southampton in the postponed fixture of Matchday No 30 on Thursday evening at Turf Moor.

The clock is ticking for Clarets who can ill afford a slip-up here knowing there are three points between them and Everton in the safe zone. To make matters worse, the Toffees have a game in hand as well.

Burnley had a great chance to claim a huge three-pointer on Sunday afternoon in London but they missed a penalty kick and conceded a late equalizer against West Ham United.

Jan Bednarek scored the only goal of the game for the Saints who have nowhere to go in the Premier League table in the remaining six games of the season.

The win over Arsenal has ended Southampton’s streak of five defeats and a draw in the previous six outings in all competitions.

Nonetheless, we must say that the Saints did not look great on Saturday despite the win as Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men were rather lucky to have kept their net untouched on the occasion.

Southampton generally tend to leave too much space behind. This is why nine of the last eleven games they played on the road saw at least three goals scored.
