Burnley vs Leeds
English Premier League,
Saturday, 15 May 2021
Kick-off 12:30 UK/ 13:30 CET
Venue: Turf Moor.

Leeds are aiming for the top-half finish after an impressive victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the previous round. They will try to back it up on Saturday afternoon when they visit Turf Moor for the 36th round clash against Burnley.

Leeds moved into the top half of the Premier League standings after netting three goals past Spurs last weekend.

Stuart Dallas, Patrick Bamford, and Rodrigo were on target on the occasion for the Peacocks who have significantly improved their defensive displays of late.

Leeds had a tough run of fixtures in the last month, but they lost only one of the last eight Premier League outings.

It is an impressive run if we know they’ve faced the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur in the process. Ironically, the lone defeat came at the hands of Brighton.

It is also important to mention that Leeds did not concede two or more goals in any of the last eight Premier League affairs.

Marcelo Bielsa’s men will fancy their chances of maintaining such a strong defensive thread here at Turf Moor where Burnley failed to score two or more goals in any of the last nine matches.

Overall, Burnley have struggled to perform in their own backyard throughout the entire season, winning only 4 of 17 home outings this term.

Burnley vs Leeds Head-to-head

  • Leeds lead the head to head tie by 10 wins going into the 58th meeting with Burnley.
  • Leeds took a narrow 1-0 victory when these two sides met each other in the first part of the season at Elland Road.
  • Just one of the last four head to head matches between these two outfits saw three or more goals scored.

Burnley vs Leeds Prediction

Burnley currently hold the 15th place and have nowhere to go in the remaining three games of the season. They did pick up a couple of impressive away wins over Wolves (0-4) and Fulham (0-2) lately, but the team led by Sean Dyche has still lost four of the last six league outings.

Leeds have a great chance for a strong finish to the season with the games against Burnley, Southampton, and WBA upcoming. We would not be surprised to see them winning each three, especially now when they welcomed influential winger Raphinha back to the squad.
