Burgos vs Las Palmas
Spanish La Liga2
Date: 6 February 2023, Monday
Kick-off at 20:00 UK / 21:00 CET
Venue: Estadio Municipal de El Plantio (Burgos).
The best two defensive lines in Spanish second tier will run across each other on Monday evening as Burgos host Las Palmas in the 26th round of the competition.
Burgos dropped out of the top-six in the league standings after managing only a single win in the previous seven La Liga2 affairs.
They have lost five of the previous eight outings in all competitions which is by no means the form you want to have going face to face with the section leaders.
The latest of Burgos’ failures came last Sunday when they lost the away fixture to direct promotional playoffs rivals Levante 1-0.
The team led by Julian Calero did not offer pretty much anything in the final third on the occasion, registering no more than a single attempt on target in the 90 minutes of play in Valencia.
Knowing Burgos are now set to face Las Palmas who have conceded no more than 15 goals in the inaugural 25 matches of the season, we don’t expect much from the hosts on Monday either.
Las Palmas are marching towards La Liga promotion. They took 13 out of 15 possible points in the previous five rounds.
This streak keeps them four points clear off the third-placed Levante in the battle for the top-two finish and the automatic promotion to the elite class.
Las Palmas will come into this game in much higher spirits and we expect them to finally beat Burgos for the first time in fourth attempt in H2H games. Burgos lost three of the previous five games across competitions with an identical 0-1 scoreline.
Las Palmas to win & Under 2.5 goals FT is the way to go at the 3.60 odds, while we also have to try with the 1-0 correct score pick at the odds of 5.50.
