Steffen Schmidt - May 7, 2023
Brighton vs Everton
English Premier League
Date: 8 May 2023, Monday
Kick-off at 17:30 UK / 18:30 CET
Venue: The American Express Community Stadium (Falmer).
Brighton will continue their daunting schedule on Monday afternoon when they host Everton in Gameweek 35 at The American Express Community Stadium.
The Seagulls were in action on Thursday night in the postponed game of Matchday No 28 against Manchester United and they are about to play six more games by the end of the month due to a horrible schedule late in the season.
Nevertheless, Roberto De Zerbi has managed to expand his roster of late and he did so in an extraordinary fashion.
The Italian manager introduced the likes of Billy Gilmour, Julio Enciso, Danny Welbeck, and Deniz Undav to the starting lineup last weekend against Wolves.
While the fans expected the team to struggle without some of the main stars (namely Kaoru Mitoma and Alexis MacAllister), Brighton responded by bagging four unanswered goals in the first half of the affair against Wolverhampton.
Welbeck had a particularly sound performance with two goals and an assist, Undav added a brace, while Enciso contributed with a couple of assists on the occasion.
Brighton’s impressive attacking line will have a nice opportunity to produce a similarly strong performance on Monday against Everton who allowed six goals in the previous two matches against Newcastle and Leicester.
The Toffees are second from bottom going into this clash but there is not much to suggest a positive scenario for Sean Dyche and his men given they are winless in seven subsequent league outings.
Everton played an extremely attacking game against Leicester seven days ago at the King Power Stadium. They have allowed six goals in the previous two league matches and we are worried about their chances of keeping things quiet at the back against the red-hot Brighton offense.
We will go with Brighton to win & Over 2.5 goals FT as the main bet at the 1.90 odds, while you can also take the hosts to win by two or more goals difference at the odds of 2.05.
