Steffen Schmidt - October 27, 2022
Brighton vs Chelsea
English Premier League
Date: 29 October 2022, Saturday
Kick-off at 15:00 UK / 16:00 CET
Venue: The American Express Community Stadium (Falmer).
Graham Potter returns to The American Express Community Stadium in Falmer this Saturday as his new team Chelsea are set to take on Brighton in Gameweek No 14.
The ex-Brighton head coach will certainly come into hostile environment as the local fans can’t still forgive him the sudden departure to Chelsea earlier this season.
Even outside of the Potter story, this is a very interesting matchup between two exciting outfits and we can’t wait to see how their clash will unfold on Saturday afternoon.
Brighton have been super-unlucky to collect very few points since the departure of Graham Potter.
The Seagulls play very well under new manager Roberto De Zerbi but they just can’t convert the chances in the final third.
Brighton played great last weekend as well despite facing the reigning champions at Etihad Stadium.
However, the good display will count for little as Manchester City won 3-1 with a brace from Erling Haaland.
Brighton have now lost three and drawn two of the previous five Premier League outings and they desperately need a result here.
Chelsea, on the other side, do not play attractive football under Potter but they do get the wins. The Blues moved up to fifth place in the Premier League standings with four successive victories.
However, they will come into this tie off the back of two separate low-scoring draws against Brentford and Manchester United in the previous two rounds.
The low-scoring draw is the first thing that pops up when thinking about this match from the betting perspective.
This is exactly the scenario we are going to back as Draw & Under 2.5 goals FT pick is priced up at the 4.00 odds. You can also try with another 1-1 stalemate, paid at the 6.50 odds this time around.
