Brest vs Red Star
France Ligue 2
Date: Friday 2nd November 2018
Kick off at 19:00 UK/ 20:00 CET
Venue: Stade Francis-Le-Ble (Brest).
Brest have been in superb form for over a month now although their winning streak did come to an end on Monday night when they could only draw 2-2 against Clermont Foot. However Brest were away from home and this could also be looked as a decent result.
In theory Brest who are in 3rd place could go top if Lens and Metz lose although that would be unlikely but what is important for the club is that they keep up the pressure on the top two. At home Brest have the 2nd best record in the league with just 1 loss in the five games they have played.
Red Star are 19th in the league and last weekend they lost 4-0 to Orleans at home. This was the teams 5th loss at home from 7 games played. Along with GFC Ajaccio they have conceded the most goals so far which is 21 and they have scored just 9 goals in what has been a nightmare start for the famous club.
Brest are around the 1.50 (1/2) price to win this game. This is about right when we look at the season they have had so far. But Red Star are not a lost cause and actually have a fantastic record at this ground.
That is why we will take them on the double chance at very good value to get something in this game. Red Star have been poor this season but earned decent draws already on the road against Clermont and Chateauroux.
