Bosnia & Herzegovina vs Liechtenstein
EURO Qualifications
Date: 8 September 2023, Friday
Kick-off at 19:45 UK / 20:45 CET
Venue: Stadion Bilino Polje (Zenica).
Bosnia and Herzegovina will be looking to make amends for an embarrassing home defeat to Luxembourg on Friday evening when they play host to continent’s minnows Liechtenstein at Stadion Bilino Polje in Zenica.
The loss to Luxembourg marked the third consecutive failure for the Bosnians and Herzegovinians who are now in a very tough situation in Group J.
Head coach Faruk Hadzibegic paid the price for the painful home loss to Luxembourg in June Meho Kodro was appointed as the national team’s new manager a month ago.
There are no doubts the Bosnian players will be highly motivated to bounce back and the opposition is an ideal for a confidence-boosting victory.
Liechtenstein are not a competitive team in this group. They’ve easily lost all four games so far without scoring a single goal in the process.
Konrad Funfstuck’s troops will come into this tie off the back of 17 consecutive defeats in all competitions.
They have not scored a single goal in eight straight matches. This will be the music to the ears for Meho Kodro who generally has big problems with his team’s back line as Sheffield United’s Anel Ahmedhodzic has been ruled out for this game through injury.
We expect a strong start from Bosnia & Herzegovina whose players will enter the match highly motivated to rebound from a tough home loss to Luxembourg. We will back the hosts to win the first half by at least two goals difference at the 1.95 odds.
The second pick will be Bosnia & Herzegovina to win by four or more goals difference at the same odds.
