Athletico-PR have a difficult trip to make on Tuesday when they take on Bolivar in the first leg of the last 16 round of Copa Libertadores at Estadio Hernando Siles.

It is very interesting to see the hosts as the 1.90 favorites to win the first leg on their turf but the bookmakers are obviously well aware of the strength and threat this Bolivar team possess.

The record 30-time Bolivian champions have been impeccable on the home pitch in the group stage of the competition.

They have dispatched the likes of Flamengo (3-1) and Barcelona (1-0) along the way, proving to have what it takes to play with some of the best outfits on the continent.

La Academia are also undefeated in seven straight home outings across competitions, bagging at least three goals in each of the last three league outings in La Paz.

Athletico-PR, on the other side, return to the knockout phase of the elite continental competition after suffering a 0-1 loss to Flamengo in the last season’s final.

The team is currently led by interim manager Wesley Carvalho. They have been very difficult to break down in Copa Libertadores, allowing only a single goal in the previous four fixtures in the competition.

They’ve topped their group by claiming 13 out of 18 possible points and they are always one of the main candidates to go all the way.

Furacao are also unbeaten in three straight games in the Brazilian Serie A, a run that includes a 3-3 stalemate to Cruzeiro on Saturday.
