Bochum vs Hoffenheim

Neither Bochum nor Hoffenheim have been pulling up any trees going into their Matchday No 19 clash in German top flight on Saturday afternoon at Vonovia Ruhrstadion.
Bochum suffered a tough 5-2 defeat at the hands of Mainz seven days ago to stay third from bottom in the Bundesliga standings.
It was the second straight defeat for the team led by Thomas Letsch, following the 2-0 failure against Bayer Leverkusen at BayArena.
Nevertheless, Letsch’s troops will now return to Vonovia Ruhrstadion where they have shown much better performances than on the road so far in the season.
Bochum won four, drew one, and lost three of eight league outings in front of their fans this term. They have also seen off Hertha Berlin 3-1 in the lone league fixture on the home patch since the winter break.
Hoffenheim, on the other side, suffered another terrible loss at home, falling 1-4 to Borussia Monchengladbach this time around.
They are winless in eight successive league matches and they have claimed just one point in three Bundesliga fixtures in 2023.
Die Kraichgauer are now only three points above Bochum in the league standings and a potential loss here would drag them into the relegation scrap.
This is a very important game for both teams. We don’t trust either of their defensive lines knowing they have allowed nine goals combined in the last weekend’s matches.
