Blackpool vs Bradford City
England – League One
Date: Saturday, 8 September 2018
Kick-Off at 15:00 UK / 16:00 CET
Venue: Bloomfield Road, Blackpool.
The Bantams started the season with a promising showing in the 0-1 victory over Shrewsbury Town away from home.
Nevertheless, they went on to lose four of following five affairs to drop down to 17th place ahead of the seventh round tie against Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.
The head coach Michael Collins is thus desperate to see a serious turnaround in form unless he wants to lose job this early in the season.
Improving the result will require fixing holes at the back as Bradford City looked way too vulnerable conceding two goals in each of last two defeats to Wycombe Wanderers and Fleetwood Town.
They’ll have to keep an eye on Blackpool’s predator Mark Cullen who notched two goals in six games so far.
Other than Cullen, the Seasiders do not really have firepower to be afraid of as the rest of the team bagged just two goals in six affairs.
The Seasiders may have not been prolific in the final third, but they definitely knew how to keep things tight at the back in the most recent set of league ties.
Terence McPhillips’ men conceded just three goals since the start of the season and as few as one in last four League One outings.
They’ll certainly tend to keep this a low-scoring affair knowing Bradford’s defense will eventually make a mistake sooner or later in the game.
Under 2.5 goals FT is the way to go and it can be backed at 1.85 odds, while you can alternatively back the hosts to win at 1.95.
Braver tipsters can obviously go for the 1-0 correct score at 7.00 odds.
Under 2.5 goals FT @ 1.85 (6/7)
Blackpool to win @ 1.95 (10/11).
