The Bees are placed fourth in the table, and are one of the best teams in the competition. However, they have been going through some struggles lately, and this certainly has affected their chances to finish in the top-two positions.
Still, it needs to be noted that they are immensely talented, and need a surplus of merely three points to climb to the second position – that too with a match in hand. They also have scored the most number of goals so far of all the squads in the league.
In fact, while they have netted 61 goals till now, only three other have even breached the 50-goal mark.
Meanwhile, the Rovers are a mid-table team, currently going through a worrying stretch of games. Even at home, they have been finding it hard to perform in the last three months.
By the looks of things, expect the in-form Brentford to deliver a winning performance this Friday at the Ewood Park.
Tony Mowbray’s men recorded a 0-2 win on the road the last match-day, against Millwall. In the meantime, the Bees lost 1-0 on the road the past game week, against Norwich.
Going on, the Rovers were winless in seven of their past eight overall fixtures, and they had lost six of these games. At home, they have also won just once since mid-December.
On the other hand, their counterparts had won six of their previous ten overall matches, and they had scored three or more goals in five of these ten games. They have also lost just three league matches on the road in the last five months.
Considering these stats, expect a winning performance from Brentford this Friday against Blackburn.
