The Red Bulls are still on with the chase for the league title. As of now, they are placed second in the table, trailing four points behind toppers and defending champions, Bayern Munich.
They easily have been the best team in Germany after the Bavarians, and also have conceded the least number of goals so far.
However, the fact that they had dropped points the last match-day has been disheartening for fans, and they will be desperate to make amends for it. Note that they do have an opportunity coming up to secure an easy win this weekend.
The reason being, they are pitted against one of the worst teams in the Bundesliga – Die Arminen. Not only are they battling relegation, but they are also a recent addition to the top flight from the 2.Bundesliga.
Moreover, Julien Nagelsmann’s men have a superb h2h record against this foe over the years too.
By the looks of things, expect Leipzig to deliver a winning performance this Friday at the Schuco Arena.
Frank Kramer’s men recorded a 1-2 win on the road the last match-day, against Leverkusen. In the meantime, Nagelsmann’s men were held to a 1-1 draw the past game week, by Frankfurt.
Going on, Die Arminen were winless in 19 of their preceding 24 overall matches, and they remained so in nine of their last twelve appearances at home.
Note that they had also conceded three or more goals in five of their previous eight overall games, and they had let in a total of ten goals from their former four home matches.
On the other hand, their counterparts had won eight of their last eleven overall games, and they had scored two or more goals in seven of their last ten matches.
They were also unbeaten in nine of their past eleven road trips, and had scored two or more goals in five of their last six away match-ups.
Finally, the Red Bulls also have a great h2h record against this opponent over the years.
For the reasons, expect a convincing Leipzig victory this Friday against Bielefeld.
