If the Premier League fixtures to have already been played thus far in the 2021/22 season are yet to have truly whetted your appetite, then you better get strapped in as there are a number of blockbuster encounters scheduled to take place throughout the month of November.
Indeed, there have already been a number of derby matches to take place, as well as meetings between many of the league’s biggest sides and those that are competing at the other end of the table, however November is a month that will provide many with some of the best football England’s top flight has to offer.
There are matches that are scheduled that will be ideal for punters who look to find the best betting sites for all of their wagering needs to further enhance the matchday experience that can be provided when watching football throughout the month, as this is just one of the many various different ways that fans will get themselves ready for what the month before Christmas will bring.
A number of different storylines will be available throughout November in regards to a football club’s overall season, with some likely to have a clearer picture about what they might be able to potentially expect when the 21/22 season comes to an end.
For instance, should Chelsea successfully navigate the fixtures they have and keep their lead at the top of the table, then will they be considered favourites to win the title? Will the likes of Burnley, Leeds United and Newcastle United still be struggling at the foot of the Premier League table and be closer to relegation?
Let’s take a look at just a handful of the biggest games set to take place throughout November:
The Manchester derby is always one of the biggest spectacles on the fixture list each season when it takes place and November 6 is the date that will see both sides take on each other at Old Trafford.
Manchester United have had a torrid time in big matches this season, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side having been embarrassed at home to arch-rivals Liverpool most recently with a 0-5 defeat. They will need to be a whole lot better than they were in that game when they face Pep Guardiola’s Citizens.
Man City, on the other hand, are back to their very best at the moment and continue to challenge at the top of the league as they look to retain their title from last season. A poor start to the season put them on the back foot momentarily, but they seem to have sorted that issue out and will be seeking blood when they take on their neighbours.
November 20 will see Liverpool host Arsenal at Anfield in a game that is always highly anticipated by fans all around the world, despite the misfortunes that the Gunners have been suffering over the last few years.
Of course, both teams have a global fan base which is why there is always a huge appeal around the fixture but both teams will want to ensure that they are able to take the spoils when they meet.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are looking to keep pace with Chelsea at the summit of the Premier League table and will be hoping they are still in the same position (if not at the top) following the conclusion of the final international break of 2021, but a meeting against Arsenal could prove tricky.
Mikel Arteta’s side, though, will be looking to try and continue in their efforts to make a return to European football by climbing the league ladder; something that they quietly did throughout the month of October.
Chelsea and Manchester United has always been an encounter that many will highlight in their calendar when it is announced and November 28 will see the two sides head into battle at Stamford Bridge in one of the final fixtures of the month.
As mentioned, Thomas Tuchel’s side are already at the top of the Premier League table and look incredibly difficult to take points off currently. With games against Newcastle United (away), Burnley (home) and Leicester City (away) before their home meeting with United, it would not be a surprise if the German’s Blues took a maximum of nine points from the three fixtures as they head into the contest with Solskjaer’s side.
The Red Devils have come undone against big opposition already this season and with Manchester City at the beginning of the month before ending November with a trip to west London, it could be a rather challenging time for the former Premier League giants.
