Benfica vs Inter Milan

Benfica will be looking to continue their scintillating UEFA Champions League run on Tuesday evening when they host Inter Milan in the first quarterfinal leg at Estadio da Luz.
The Portuguese outfit demolished Club Brugge over two R16 legs to qualify for the quarterfinal stage for the second year running.
This only speaks about the team’s quality and consistency in the last several years. This year has been particularly colorful for the Eagles who are firing on all cylinders across all competitions.
Benfica topped the Champions League group ahead of the likes of PSG and Juventus, thus eliminating the Old Lady from the competition in the process.
Only Napoli have notched more than Benfica’s 23 goals in this term of the Champions League. We just have to consider the hosts as the favorites here against Inter Milan.
I Nerazzurri are back to the quarterfinal after twelve years. They have done so via the narrow victory over another Portuguese team, FC Porto, beating them 1-0 on aggregate over two R16 games.
However, Inter Milan have not done particularly well since that win over Porto. Simone Inzaghi’s troops have been struggling badly to find goals of late.
They failed to find the back of the net in three of the last seven outings across competitions, winning just one of them.
The latest of the slip-ups came on Good Friday when Inzaghi’s men had to settle for a point in a 1-1 draw to Salernitana.
Benfica did lose Friday’s Primeira Liga derby to FC Porto but they are still seven points clear at the top of the standings in the domestic league. The hosts will enter this tie in much higher spirits and we have plenty of reasons to expect them beat Inter Milan on Tuesday.
The home win is well worth backing at the 2.10 odds. We will also back Benfica’s top scorer Goncalo Ramos who notched 17 goals in Primeira Liga and 7 in the Champions League so far in the season. Ramos is 2.87 to score anytime on Tuesday.
