Belgrano vs Rosario Central
Argentine Liga Profesional
Date: 28 July 2023, Friday
Kick-off at 23:00 UK / 00:00 CET
Venue: Estadio Julio Cesar Villagra (Cordoba).
Belgrano will desperately want to terminate a horrendous streak and finally scored a goal after five subsequent unsuccessful attempts on Friday evening when they host Rosario Central in Matchday No 27 of Liga Profesional.
The hosts took just one point from the previous five league games. They will go into this off the back of the toughest loss of the season after falling 4-0 away at Estudiantes last weekend.
Things do not look great at all for Belgrano who are in obvious crisis these days. The fact they have failed to register more than three attempts towards Estudiantes’ goal seven days ago says enough about their current creativity in the final third.
This will be the music to the ears of Miguel Russo whose Rosario Central made it four games on the spin without a defeat in the league last weekend by holding River Plate to a 3-3 draw at Estadio Gigande de Arroyito.
Rosario Central were moments away from claiming a big scalp last weekend but they got unlucky to drop the lead on three separate occasions in the game and eventually lose two points after conceding a last-gasp equalizer in the seventh minute of stoppage time.
We should, however, say that Rosario have only managed to grab a single win on the road since the beginning of the season while Belgrano lost just 3 of 12 league fixtures on the home turf this term.
Belgrano are not pulling up any trees these days with a run of four defeats and a draw in the last five matches in the league. We are very much tempted to take the away win bet at the attractive 3.25 odds.
The second pick would be Rosario Central to keep a clean sheet at the 2.75 odds knowing Belgrano failed to score in five straight league matches.
