Belgium and France are huge rivals in the world of football nowadays. We have not been in position to enjoy that many competitive clashes between these two sides in the last couple of decades.

As a matter of fact, we only saw one such match and it was none other than the World Cup semifinal three years ago in Russia.

France edged it 1-0 before storming past Croatia in the final. Interestingly, Belgium were also stopped at the recent Euro 2020 by the latter winners Italy, coming 2-1 short in the quarterfinal of the competition.

Could this be an opportunity the Belgians have been waiting for? They will certainly come into this semifinal in much higher spirits than their counterparts.
