Atalanta dropped to sixth position in the Serie A table after losing three of the last four matches.

If we count the Coppa Italia failure at Inter Milan, La Dea have four defeats in the previous five fixtures across competitions.

Gianpiero Gasperini’s men are now four points below Lazio in fourth place and they desperately need to find the right rhythm before completely losing ground on the main rivals in the battle for the Champions League spots.

The run involves a 2-2 stalemate on the home patch against the likes of Spezia six days ago. It was the fifth successive league game without a victory for Sottil and his troops.
