Unai Emery’s men will be coming into their second game in the Cup, on the back of an impressive 2-1 win against the German giants Bayern in their opening game.
Both the sides were neck to neck in that clash, with Bayern managing nineteen attempts at goal, which was two more than their counterparts.
The Bavarians enjoyed slightly better possession on the ball as well but failed to beat Leno who was in fine form in between the sticks.
Their opponents Fiorentina edged it past Guadalajara by a 2-1 scoreline in their opening tie. The game was hardly a tight run of affairs, with the squad attacking twice as many times as their counterparts and coming close to scoring on ten occasions.
The Italian side, however, cannot afford to be that wasteful when they square up against the Gunners, who are undoubtedly not going to sit back even if they take an initial lead.
The North London side are the favorites to record back to back to wins when they clash with Fiorentina at the Bank of America Stadium on Saturday.
The squad came close to lifting the Europa League last season and missed out on a top-four finish by not more than a single point.
Their impressive performance in the opening game is also certain to boost the team’s confidence and are unlikely to settle for nothing less than the win.
You can count on the Gunners to clinch the win by a sizeable margin, while their foes are unlikely to find a goal of their own in the ninety minutes.
