The Argentine women hope to accomplish what their male counterparts did in Qatar seven months before. But they are placed in a tough group. Both Sweden and Italy arrived to this tournament with great hopes, and as expected have shot right to the top of the table with a perfect winning record.
And this leaves the minnows of the group – South Africa. They are placed dead last in the group, and are the only squad to be ranked outside the top-50 in the mix. They are going through a poor streak of results, and are also the only squad yet to find the back of the net in Group G.
This is the first time these two teams are locking horns with each other.
Argentina won five of their past seven overall fixtures, and have made it to the World Cup in great shape. They realize they are in a tough group, and this only forces them to go after a much-needed win against the minnows of the mix.

By the looks of things, a win is expected for Argentina this Friday.
Argentina are clearly the third-best team in the group, after the two titans. And after having lost the opener, they are under pressure to make the most of this opportunity.
They hope one of Sweden or Italy will drop points as they take on each other in the second match-day of the group stage. And this is the perfect opportunity to deal a huge win over minnows South Africa.
Moreover, the Argentines won five of their past seven overall fixtures, and are in great form. On the other hand, counterparts South Africa lost three of their previous four overall fixtures, and they also remained winless in nine of their past thirteen overall games.
Considering these observations, a win is expected for Argentina at 2.20 odd.
