Angers got off to a great start going away and beating Dijon 1-0. It was a positive game for the club and they come into this one in 4th place. Obviously the league is skewered at the moment with just 1 game played but if Angers can follow up with another win they will be in a great position as Ligue 1 takes a near two week break after these round of games.
Bordeaux played out a 0-0 game with Nantes in the opening weekend it is a result that they would have been happy with given that Mehdi Zerkane had been sent off early in the game.
This game represents a tricky encounter for Bordeaux though as Angers have already got 1 win under their belt and can be difficult to beat at home.
We are backing Angers for the win. They already have tasted victory this season, they have a great record over Bordeaux and are at home and have more confidence coming into this game. It’s a win-win situation for the club and we would be surprised if they couldn’t pull off a win.
We will also back Baptiste Santamaria to score anytime for the home side. He plays deep midfield but isn’t afraid to come forward and is a great price to score so we can put minimum stakes on him.
Angers are a very good price to win this game at home and we won’t be turning down this value.
